5/5 STARS

Lia has survived Venda—but so has a great evil bent on the destruction of Morrighan. And only Lia can stop it.

With war on the horizon, Lia has no choice but to assume her role as First Daughter, as soldier—as leader. While she struggles to reach Morrighan and warn them, she finds herself at cross-purposes with Rafe and suspicious of Kaden, who has hunted her down.

The third and final book in the Remnant Chronicle series is beautifully written and closes off the series perfectly for fans.

Captivating from the start, entwined with love, family, betrayal and duty, this novel will stay with the reader long after they have turned the final page.

In this final volume, Lia faces her greatest challenges with Rafe and Kaden; in finding who they are, new love and new hope.

I found the character growth slow, but not in a bad way - it was perfect. It wasn't as if they made a complete 180 all of a sudden, it was natural.

It's always a worry for a reader when you become engrossed in a series: you pray the author doesn't pull a George R. R. Martin or J.K. Rowling! Thank goodness Mary didn't do it to us!

Thank you Mary for closing off this series in such a beautiful way, I was smiling long after I closed the book.
